I just did a post about 30 seconds ago but this is the last one so I might as well get it over with. Winter term was pretty intense for me. Its the first time I've been living on my own, with a part time job and full time school. I've just been trying to stay afloat with grades, money and relationships... it was tough but I pulled it off alright. I'll be ready for next term... especially after my 5 days of vacation I've got coming up! I'm going home to party it up, fish, longboard and EAT FOOOOD! My mom is the best cook in the world, not even joking.
Well Im gonna start relaxing now.............................................................................................................

CopyRIGHT
Lately copyright has been a main focus for this class so I thought it would be necessary to post a blog about it. I found an article about the latest controversy with YouTube. It really is a huge debate, just as big as the napster ordeal, if not bigger. Should we be allowed to post video clips of movies or television shows for free online? I believe that it does violate copyright, but does it really hurt their profits? Its basically free advertising. I personally am not so affected because I have yet to post or watch a clip from a movie or television show on YouTube. But just the fact that they are trying taking away something fun makes me cry :(

Flying Hawk!
Steven Hawking is preparing for space! He is set to jet in a zero gravity plane in hopes that he will actually be able to make it to space by 2009. I think it would be awesome if he was able to go to space.

ENERGY!!
So I told myself that I would never rely on caffein to stay awake but the past 2 terms I have found myself with a cup of joe, an amp, or a mt. Dew to keep my motor running late into the night due to procrastination. I feel that I need it sometimes and I think Its time I come out and admit that I really really like caffein. It definately keeps you awake but it doesnt elevate your concentration. Im reading about a new drug that keep syou awake and improves your concentration. Its likely to become a new trend or something... goodbye starbucks! Hello ENERGO!
Gaming
God of War 2 has been released for the PS2! So far it has recieved excellent reviews and is expected to be a high seller considering the reputation of the first God of War. I have yet to play either of the games but its been on the tip of mind for some time now. The ariticle goes on how this is the best action game ever made on any console including the next generation consoles. This game will ensure that the PS2 continues to sell. I can't wait...

Hip Hop
I found this video of mc Twalib Kweli on YouTube. I don't listen to hip hop alot but I used to be a big fan of his music and still am. This song has a good beat, positive message to it (if you can understand what he's saying) and the video is awesome. I think Kroy has done some video editing similar to this... Check it out!

More Participation
This is a sweet idea from Jeep and Marvel Comics. A comic is under development and all the art will be posted progressively on the website and if you register you can comment and give suggestions on the story and characters. This makes you part of the development process. I think its a really cool idea... plus if they use you're idea you can win a Jeep Patriot! Woot Woot! Now thats participatory advertising.

Participatory Advertising
I was on YouTube a couple days ago and just by chance I ran into a video review on a stereo system in a Honda Hybrid that is ipod compatible. The video was kind of dumb and the product really sucked but I realized (after reading the article Kroy had us read today) that this was a form of participatory advertising. This is a step in the direction that everyone is talking about. Is this advertising effective? I watched it. I wont buy it, but I watched it. Maybe if I had an ipod this would encourage me to buy a Honda Hybrid... or as we like to call them at the shop, "HighBirds". But no probably not... The point is that there is money to be made and it can work.

Copyright
Copyright has been a major issue since the web gained popularity in the 90's. Now there's a new technology to identify copyrighted material on the web. The technology is so advanced it can identify a movie on YouTube with poor picture quality that was filmed illegally via cam-corder in a theatre. Thats pretty intense if you ask me. Good for them, bad for us. Although I don't download alot of illegal documents I'm sure there will be a lot of people upset about this. It was bound to happen eventually. I think myspace is picking up the program, but Google's YouTube is holding back at the moment. The people who made it are going to be rich.

RPG Gaming
I love video games. One of my favorite games of all time is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It's an RPG where you can choose to be on the light side or the dark side, and ending depends on choices you make during the game. It was developed by Bioware, who has produced many other sweet RPG games ( Buldar's Gate, Jade Empire). Now they have a new game in development for next generation systems called Mass Effect, I'm real excited for this game and if you're familiar with Bioware you know that this one will be a hit. If you haven't played any of the games mentioned I highly recommend you do!

Update
Hey nobody! I don't know who's reading this stuff besides Kroy. I try to read as much as possible but its tough with full time school and part time work. Anyways I've officially begun working on my website. I'm completely working off of self expression and my mood changes a lot so the outcome of this project will be interesting. Most of the work is being done in photoshop, some of you have already seen the title page. I'm planning on making my head at the bottom of the page an animated gif link that will lead you into the "braincast" of my thoughts and ideas. I've just about finished with the first page the user will reach after the braincast is launched... its pretty sick! I can't wait to show you guys... I'll get it uploaded with a link as soon as possible. Peace.

bradbrain.com
Whats up MM350 class. I haven't begun developing my non-linear site yet but I have a basic idea. My domain name is going to be bradbrain.com and each page of my site will have big pics of my head in different poses, color schemes and photoshop filters to reflect the mood of the content. The content will be displayed in a designated space approximately where my "brain" should be. I need YOU to help me with ideas of what is gonna go on inside my head! (and usually only I know that) I was thinking I could write some kind of creative narrative like grammatron, but 20 pages and 2 weeks isn't enough for that. Im open to ideas and constructive critism. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

ebay
I just registered for my first ebay account! I bought a usb data cable for my Kyocera Kx5 slider remix phone... no big deal. They want 50$ at kyocera for it and I just found it on ebay for 17.95$!! I am stoked with my new ebay account and if my purchase goes well then I'm looking forward to buying more stuff on ebay. I'm planning on selling my paintball gun on there in the following weeks unless anyone who reads this is interested. Its a Tippman Pro Carbine. I've used it a couple times in the past 4 years and I recently took it apart, cleaned it and oiled it. 100$ OBO.

The Terminator
So I had to get a part time job a week ago. Who ever has read my first blog will find it contradictory that I posted a blog about oil consuming cars and I just got a job at Island Express Lube! What you don't know is that I'm actually spying on them. I'm gonna bring them down from the inside! jk Today was my only day off this week and I planned on doing some homework and getting ahead on some projects... instead I played halo 2 and did ninja flips onto my bed. Then I finally started my program thats due tomorrow at 8:30pm.
A couple months ago I watched a video on msn.com about a man who lost both of his arms and had them replaced with mechanical arms that he can actually control with his mind. I was thinking about it today and I wanted to learn more so I googled it. This is a major technological breakthrough! Now I don't have to worry about losing my limbs in a car accident or something. Check it out and let me know what you think.

The Future...
Three years ago I took my first computer science class at COCC in Bend. My teacher asked us if we all new what a blog was... there was little response, and he explained what it was, then he told us that one day we will all have one. I just thought "yeah right"... but here I am writing a blog. He knew it was coming! Technology has been progressing for thousands of years and yet it feels like it has just been born. The future is endless... how far will time take us and how much more is technology going to progress. Thats my thought for this morning.
I checked out Who Killed the Electric Car yesterday and it really made me angry! Its disturbing that these people who profit billions of dollars a year are trying to hold back a technological breakthrough and sacrifice the health of our planet for more profit. I believe that we have the power and the knowledge to undue the damage we have already done. So whats the hold up?

I just read an article about GM's new Chevrolet Volt. Its a concept car the runs off of an electric motor. It also has a 1 liter 3 cylinder supercharged motor that recharges the battery when you can plug it in. The idea is that its "flexible" enough for multiple energy sources.... and it looks pretty cool too. I realize that integrating electric cars as a main mode of transportation is going to take some time. At least company's are still making an effort to create environmentally friendly cars. But oil companys removing ads for the electric car is still ridiculous.
